The Ethical Design Scorecard is an assessment technique that is designed to help practitioners investigate the ethical implications of their products and services. The method employs a weighted assessment criteria to determine the ethical implications of different criteria and provides information on areas that require improvement and those that are going well.

Materials: Internet enabled computer

Participants: Participants can work individually or in groups

Steps

  1. Download the excel sheet from the website
  2. Open the excel sheet and select the domain for evaluation e.g Data Science, UX, etc.
  3. Conduct the assessment by choosing a score for each of the assessment category
  4. Reflect on the scores and determine ways to improve, if necessary.
